Extending the collaborative dynamic begun earlier in the nineties, in 1999-2000 Zeigler initiated a millennium mural project titled Tribute to the Ecosphere. This large-scale, ceramic-tile, public-art project focused on the biodiversity of Richmond, British Columbia and the importance of preserving existing species and ecological systems. This project received a Mayor's Environmental Achievement Award (2000).
